GE HealthCare introduced the LOGIQ e family, a line of compact laptop ultrasound systems designed for use across care settings. The portfolio includes the LOGIQ e Xi and LOGIQ e Si, which combine console-level performance with artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled features and workflow tools to support portable imaging.

The family supports multi-purpose imaging, musculoskeletal, emergency medicine, critical care, rheumatology and anesthesiology. Workflow tools like Scan Assistant and Voice Control help cut manual interactions for a more efficient experience, according to the company.

LOGIQ e Xi’s Nerveblox tool labels anatomical landmarks in the image to support clinician confidence during peripheral nerve block procedures. Its MSK Go tool assists with musculoskeletal ultrasound exams, also identifying anatomical structures on images.

B-Flow provides real-time, high-resolution blood flow imaging and Speckle Reduction Imaging boosts orang and lesion visibility with high-definition contrast resolution, GE HealthCare said. Automated Function Imaging assesses structural defects of the left ventricle, right ventricle and left atrium throughout the heart cycle. SonoBiometry measures fetal head, abdomen, and femur anatomy to reduce keystrokes and improve exam efficiency.

Depending on configuration and region, LOGIQ e Xi supports Verisound digital tools, including cloud-based fleet management, virtual collaboration, and Vscan Air wireless probe compatibility for added workflow flexibility.

Comments from GE HealthCare and clinicians

Karley Yoder, CEO, Ultrasound Solutions, Advanced Imaging Solutions: “Healthcare delivery is changing rapidly, and imaging technology must evolve with it. Clinicians today need imaging solutions that can move seamlessly across care settings while supporting a variety of users and clinical applications. The LOGIQ e family furthers our ability to serve customers with solutions that balance portability, performance and workflow, while bringing the right imaging capabilities to the right clinical environments.”

Dr. Vicente Roqués Escolor, anesthesiologist: “As I work in different clinics, a portable device is essential for me. What first caught my attention with the LOGIQ e is its design but beyond it being appealing is its performance, it’s very practical, easy to use and simple. I was also impressed by the possibility of using artificial intelligence, specifically the Nerveblox tool, which allows the scouting of the different structures we see in a large number of regional anesthesia techniques before performing the intervention.”
